In the current era of advanced technology, we can see the Masjid al-Haram, for example, as aired by private television stations. Are we justified to Tarawih congregation through the television? In fact, the Friday prayer, we often follow the priest through the monitors as separate walls and floors?

Not only through television, radio was "there" who allow it. Ahmad ibn Muhammad ash-Shiddiq on1475 H wrote a book called al-Iqnabi ash-Shihhah Shalah al-Jumu'ah fi al-Manzil khalfa al-Mizya' that talks about validity of the Friday prayer at home by radio with the three conditions. First, the same time frame or not done by those who follow it outside of prayer times (because every prayer should be done in time). Second, the country or place of congregation prayer should be in the back country or place of prayer the priest, because the requirements are legitimate prayers: the priest should be in front of the congregation. Third, the congregation must be in one row with another person, though only one (not explained what the reason for this requirement). This opinion is rejected by many scholars, among others, on the grounds "would vacate the mosque, and the resulting relationship between the pilgrims and the meeting did not take place." I also do not tend to support this opinionMore over, almost all scholars presupposes unity of the priest and congregation. In fact, Shafi requires that the congregation who were performing the prayer should be able to walk into a place without a priest there was nothing to obstruct it. Of course, this requirement can not be done if the congregation in Indonesia following the priest praying in the mosque of al-Haram.
